CRICKHOWELL WALKING FESTIVAL 2025

CRICKHOWELL WALKING FESTIVAL 2025

LOWA are proud once again to support the long-running Crickhowell Walking Festival, which takes place from 8th – 16th March 2025 in the beautiful Black Mountains in South Wales.

The programme features 83 guided walks at all levels of length and challenge. Whether you prefer a light hike or a mixed terrain trek across the various Welsh peaks, there is something for all. If you’ve explored various Welsh hikes, this is the perfect opportunity to widen your knowledge and discover more of the wonderful routes and trig points available to avid hikers.

The picturesque town of Crickhowell, nestling in the beautiful Usk valley, makes a wonderful base for all the activities with a great choice of accommodation and food options. There are also multiple evening events for the walking community, including a quiz night and a concert.  The walks usually have between 14 and 20 places and can be booked through the Crickhowell Festival event website.

LOWA are sponsoring the popular Photo Competition with some fantastic prizes, including a pair of Sirkos Evo GTX Lo walking shoes and the best-selling Renegade Evo GTX Mid boots. The Renegade is a perfect choice for the local terrain with its supple nubuck leather upper, Gore-Tex lining and Vibram sole providing superb comfort and support.

The 2024 photo competition winner was Peter Lamont. His landscape view of hikers taking on the mountains gave a true insight into those who get out on the hills during all weathers. With their waterproof hiking gear and hiking poles at the ready, they climbed on as the grey clouds rolled in and the sun fought to shine through.
