The most significant feature of the Taurus Pro GTX Mid Ws is brand new LOWA sole called Lima. It has significantly more cushioning than other walking shoes in its class thanks to LOWA's PU midsole, and feels much more cushioned and springy than traditional walking footwear. The Lima outsole has a new tread design, with multidirectional lugs, ideal for mixed terrain, while the PU Monowrap frame, and full length stabiliser provide stability and support through each step. The fabric and leather upper has built in flex zones so the boots will need almost no breaking in and should be comfortable straight out of the box. Finally the Taurus Pro GTX Mid Ws has a Gore-Tex lining, so is completely waterproof.

Technology

Highly breathable, durably waterproof lining material. Keeps feet pleasantly dry and offers optimised climate comfort for a broad range of outdoor activities.
Conceived and developed by LOWA, the outsole is made from an optimised rubber compound, specifically designed to meet the footwear's intended use.
This manufacturing method of injection moulding offers the highest precision, with a direct and solid bond between the sole and the upper, while providing plenty of cushioning.
The LOWA Monowrap support frame provides a three-dimensional cradle, to guide and support the foot over uneven surfaces. Made of PU, the Support frame offers excellent lightweight support.
Provides a good balance between optimal support for the foot, and pleasant rolling properties.
Women's specific last, designed with the anatomy of women's feet in mind, with a differently shaped instep and area around the ball of the foot.

Lovely light weight boot - super comfy. I did have to go up a half size from my other Lower shoe though. Not warn them enough to comment on how waterproof they are but I have every confidence in Lowa.

I bought a these boots a few months ago and was delighted with the style and fit. I had hoped they would be a good general-purpose boot, but unfortunately the soles don't seem to grip very well in wet weather, so I haven't felt confident to wear them as much as I would like. Any advice welcome please.
