It's unique combination of properties gives it at an advantage over all other materials. For years, the industry has experimented with a range of new materials but it is yet to come anywhere near to finding a worthy replacement. To put it plainly, leather is "animal hide, which is preserved through the tanning process".The leather that Lowa uses for its footwear all comes from European cattle and is naturally free of PCP (Pentachlorophenol) and free of AZO colorings. Whether it is supple edging leather, soft lining leather or tough uppers leather, it is all made from the same base material. As such dirt and moisture have little effect on LOWA boots if they are properly looked after. The right kind of care can significantly lengthen the lifespan of your boots. Leather is a natural raw material which needs to be cared for. Real leather is like a second skin. In order to maintain leatherÔs exceptional qualities, proper care is vital. Lowa boots use our patented Cimate Contol System. This moisture management system keeps feet dry, protecting against blisters and pressure points. We give you a 24-month warranty in respect of materials and manufacturing defects. Any defects which arise during this period are dealt with by us within the scope of our general warranty terms and conditions. Unfortunately we are unable to accept responsibility for damage caused by improper care and inappropriate wear and tear, although in most cases we are willing to repair such damage at cost price.
